Will Muschamp Says That QB Jeff Driskel Gives Florida 'The Best Opportunity To Win Right Now'

One of the most highly-criticized members of the University of Florida's football team is quarterback Jeff Driskel. In 2014, Driskel's numbers haven't looked great, as he has completed 56 percent of his passes for 636 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions. He looked especially bad during the squad's 42-21 loss against Alabama last week, going 9-for-28 for 93 yards with a TD and two INTs.

Driskel's play has led to Gators fans calling for a change at QB, and for Florida head coach Will Muschamp to name freshman Treon Harris the team's starter. Muschamp addressed this today, and said that while Harris continues to improve, Driskel's going to line up under center.

Muschamp did say that Driskel needs to play better, but despite a passionate hashtag campaign from Florida fans calling for him to #FreeTreon, it doesn't look like there will be any changes under center for the Gators.
