Five-star offensive tackle Broderick Jones is one of the top overall prospects in the 2020 class. A longtime Georgia commit, he kept a lot of people hanging late when he decided to wait a while longer before signing his letter of intent.
After a long wait though, he’s finally put the pen to paper. Jones announced this morning that he is officially signing with Georgia. The move comes over a month after he declined to sign with letter of intent in December.
247Sports rates Jones as the No. 11 overall prospect in the country. He is the No. 2 offensive tackle in the nation, and the No. 3 prospect from the state of Georgia.
Jones announced his commitment to Georgia back in 2018, but kept Bulldogs fans guessing by spending the month of January on official visits across the country. In addition to visiting Georgia, Jones took trips to Auburn, Arkansas and Illinois.
Five-star offensive lineman Broderick Jones just announced at a (lengthy) ceremony that he will officially sign with Georgia. A long-time commitment who did not sign in December.

Jones is one of four five-star recruits that Georgia landed in the lass of 2020. Combined with their 15 four-star recruits, 247Sports now ranks the Bulldogs as the No. 1 recruiting class in the country.
They’ve decisively dethroned longtime No. 1 Clemson as well as SEC rival Alabama for the distinction.
Along with a Sugar Bowl win over Baylor, few teams have started the year 2020 off as strongly as the Bulldogs.
Kirby Smart will definitely be feeling confident heading into the spring.
