The mammoth offensive tackle made his call moments ago.
Knoxville (Tenn.) Catholic five-star offensive tackle Cade Mays is headed to Georgia.
Mays, a one-time Tennessee commit, picked the Bulldogs over the Vols and Clemson Tigers moments ago during a ceremony at his school.
Mays is the No. 1 player in Tennessee and the No. 2 offensive tackle in the nation, per 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He’s also the 16th-rated player in the entire 2018 class.

Already today, Georgia kept four-star running back James Cook away from Florida State and received commitments/signatures from four-star cornerback Divaad Wilson and five-star offensive guard Jamaree Salyer. Now, they’ve landed Mays, and five-star defensive end Brenton Cox may be next.
The early signing period begins today and runs through Friday. It appears that most high-profile recruits will sign this week, which could take some of the shine away from National Signing Day in February.
