Amarius Mims, a 2021 five-star offensive lineman, is starting to narrow down the options for his recruitment.

The 6-foot-7, 315-pound offensive lineman is one of the most sought-after recruits in the 2021 cycle. Mims has heard from nearly every top program in the country, but just 14 schools are in the mix as things currently stand.

The five-star OL has cut his list of schools down to Clemson, Auburn, LSU, Alabama, Florida State, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, USC, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Oregon.

Mims will announce his school of choice later this year on Oct. 14th, 2020. The massive 5-star offensive lineman took to Twitter to announce the news on Thursday:

Mims ranks as the No. 8 overall prospect and second-highest rated offensive lineman in the 2021 class, according to the 247Sports composite score. Many already project the elite prospect as a first-round pick in a future NFL Draft.

The Georgia native is expected to land with Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs. Georgia has been excellent on the recruiting trail as of late, landing elite classes in consecutive years. Mims would be another massive pickup for Smart.

Mims' commitment is still a littler under seven months away, but the anticipation is building for the 5-star OL.
