Amarius Mims is one of the elite offensive line prospects in the 2021 recruiting class. Things are starting to heat up for the big Georgia product.
247Sports‘ composite rankings have Mims at No. 14 overall. He’s the No. 3 offensive tackle and top-ranked recruit from Georgia.
On monday, he announced that he’s narrowing his recruitment down to eight programs. Of course, with well over a year until he has to decide, he says things remain open.
Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, and South Carolina all make the cut.
Amarius Mims tweeted out a graphic revealing his top eight schools yesterday.
I would like to thank God and all the universities that have shown interest in me in the past months but with that being said I’ll be narrowing my Top 8 schools down to..Recruitment 100% open pic.twitter.com/e2MxRXfo8e

It is far too early to really know where he may be leaning. So far, two 247 crystal ball projections have been made. Both have him heading to the in-state power Georgia Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs do not have any 2021 commits as of yet. Of the other programs involved for Mims in that top eight, Florida leads the way with the No. 11 class in the country. The Gators have two players committed that are entering their junior seasons. FSU also has a pair of commits, and ranks No. 14.
Alabama, Auburn, and South Carolina have also opened up their 2021 classes already with commitments. The other programs involved are still awaiting their first pledges of the class.
