We've got five months to go until the 2020 college football season, provided there is one and it starts on time. It's not too soon though to look ahead to what might unfold on the field this fall.

Every year, there are teams that over and underachieve relative to their preseason prognostications. Spotting which teams will fit into each category ahead of time is part of what makes following college football fun.

Recently, analyst Pete Fiutak of College Football News put together his list of teams that could "potentially disappoint" in 2020. He picked one from each Power 5 conference.

From the SEC, Fiutak went with Georgia. The Bulldogs have won three straight SEC East titles and played for the national championship two years ago. Expectations will once again be high come September.

Fiutak explains that while he's not doubting Georgia's talent level and doesn't think they will slip to 8-4 or something drastic, the possibility for 'disappointment' is still there. That's because of the Bulldogs' tough schedule and lofty preseason status.

Georgia is going to keep coming into seasons as one of the five or six teams with a realistic shot at winning the national title. However, have a misfire like last year’s loss to South Carolina, finally be on the wrong end of the Florida showdown, lose to Alabama, or even have another season like the last two with an 11-1 regular season and a loss in the SEC Championship, and the CFP dreams are gone with two losses.

Georgia will be thrown into the fire very early on this fall. In Week 3, they will travel to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama. Three weeks later, they'll host Auburn.

The final month of the season includes the annual rivalry game with Florida and trips to South Carolina and Kentucky.
