The Georgia Bulldogs haven't even finalized their 2020 recruiting class but they're already well underway in the classes beyond. Today their efforts paid off as they landed their first recruit in the Class of 2021, three-star safety Bralyn Oliver.

According to Radi Nabulsi of Rivals, the player made his decision today. He was also weighing offers from Tennessee, Duke, Louisville, and West Virginia.

247Sports rates him as the No. 544 overall prospect in the Class of 2021. He is the No. 27 safety in the nation, and the No. 6 recruit from the state of South Carolina.

As a sophomore at Belton-Honea Path, Oliver contributed on offense, defense and special teams. He recorded 15 receptions for 451 yards and six touchdowns on offense. Defensively, he had 31 tackles, one interception, five passes defended, and a forced fumble. In the return game, he had 11 kickoff returns for 211 yards.

With Bralyn Oliver's commitment, the Bulldogs are now the 10th team in the SEC to have at least one committed recruit in the Class of 2021. Georgia is also one of only 35 teams in FBS to have a recruit at this stage.

One of the main reasons Georgia has re-emerged as one of the elite college football programs has been its strong recruiting.

Their SEC rivals have a significant edge on them in 2021 so far, but it's good that they have the ball rolling.
