The star of Georgia's spring game was probably true freshman quarterback Jacob Eason, who shined with a 19-for-29, 244, one touchdown performance on Saturday in front of 93,000 fans. Eason, a former five-star recruit, may win the starting quarterback job entering the fall, and one ESPN analyst believes he's already one of the most talented passers in the conference. Booger McFarland, who works for the SEC Network, had some tremendous praise for the young Bulldog quarterback this morning.
It seems like McFarland may be jumping the gun a bit, but Eason was one of the top recruits in the country before enrolling in Athens. He may not be far off, although like all freshmen, there will be a learning curve once he starts to face SEC defenses.
