Georgia sophomore running back Nick Chubb, who injured his left knee against Tennessee back on October 10, underwent "successful" surgery Friday, according to the school. Chubb's surgery was performed by Robert E. Hancock, MD, at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, Georgia.

"We are very pleased with the surgery and the procedure went extremely well," said UGA Senior Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine Ron Courson. "Following his discharge, Nick will start his rehabilitation program and we are optimistic for a full recovery."
Chubb's injury, which looked particularly painful, will have him sidelined at least through the end of this season. The school is hopeful that he'll be able to return to the Bulldogs for the 2016 campaign.
