Earlier: Georgia running back Todd Gurley's status is still in limbo. The Heisman Trophy candidate is suspended indefinitely while it is being investigated as to whether or not he accepted money for autographs and memorabilia. So far, Gurley has missed one game, and nobody is 100 percent sure if he'll be back this season. In fact, one report suggested that he's going to miss all of 2014, and Bulldogs head coach Mark Richt said that he prepares for games expecting that Gurley will not play.
During his press conference today, Richt did give an update on his star running back. Georgia's coach said that he expects to know Gurley's status by Friday morning before the team leaves for Arkansas.
This doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be cleared or ruled ineligible for the rest of the season. We'll find out more by the end of this week.
