It may not have the No. 1 composite class right now, but Georgia football has to be the winner of this early signing period so far.

Today is the opening of the new early signing period, making it a de facto early National Signing Day, and Georgia football pounced on it.

Just today, the Bulldogs have signed six different five-star composite recruits today.

Three of those players just committed to the Dawgs today: Jamaree Salyer, Cade Mays, and most recently, Brenton Cox.

Fields and Anderson both committed back in October, while White's pledge was all the way back in June. With this wave of commits, Georgia's class is up to No. 2 in the country. Perhaps even more impressively, Georgia's six five-star commits is twice as many as the next schools: Clemson, Ohio State, and Penn State, who have three each. ESPN's recruiting rankings have Georgia jumping ahead of Ohio State.

AT 247, Ohio State holds on to the No. 1 class in the country thanks to an unbelievably deep well of blue-chip players making up the majority of the class. Either way, the Dawgs should feel incredibly excited today.
