Georgia Running Back Keith Marshall Drafted By Washington In 7th Round

Keith Marshall was an elite recruit, even more highly touted than former Georgia teammate Todd Gurley, but injuries derailed his college career after a promising freshman campaign. Marshall was able to show off his elite speed, running the fastest 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, and it helped him earn a spot in day three of the NFL Draft. With the 242nd overall pick, Marshall is heading to Washington.

Earlier in the process, Marshall hinted at his desire to be drafted by the Dallas Cowboys, who wound up taking the first running back off the board in Ezekiel Elliott. Now he'll have to settle for the chance to play his childhood team twice a year with one of their biggest rivals. Marshall finished his Georgia career with 1,604 total yards and 15 touchdowns, eight on the ground as a freshman.
