Georgia head coach Kirby Smart updated the status of recovering running back Nick Chubb this afternoon.

Good news, Bulldogs' fans - the rehab is going very well.

Chubb, who injured multiple knee ligaments last October, will not be involved in any team drills this spring. He is, though, progressing at a very good rate. Smart, Georgia's new coach, said he's "overachieving" with his recovery.

Chubb missed the rest of the 2015 season after gruesomely injuring his knee against Tennessee on Oct. 10.

The 5-foot-10, 220-pound running back has totaled 2,294 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns through a season and a half.

If fully healthy, he should be one of the country's best players this fall.
