On Sunday night, Apopka (Fla.) four-star defensive tackle Jalen Carter announced his top three schools. Moments ago, he committed to one of them.

Carter announced his commitment to Georgia on Twitter this afternoon. He chose the Bulldogs over Alabama and Clemson.

When your final three schools are likely to be the top three programs in the polls entering the 2019 season, you're doing pretty well for yourself. Carter is the 10th-ranked defensive tackle in the 2020 class.

He's also the No. 95 overall player, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

Carter is the fifth-highest rated commitment for Georgia as of now, and the 10th-overall 2020 pledge for the Bulldogs. He is one of eight four-stars currently committed to Kirby Smart and company.

Georgia also holds commitments from five-star linebacker Mekhail Sherman and five-star offensive lineman Broderick Jones. The Bulldogs currently have the fourth-best class in the SEC and the seventh-best in the nation.
