Four-star defensive end Jay Hardy is being heavily recruited by programs across the country, and appears to be giving everyone a fair shake. He recently narrowed down list, but he didn't narrow it down too far.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, Hardy revealed that he had reduced his list to 16 schools. The list is a who's-who of elite programs with 15 Power Five schools and nine SEC programs on it.

The 16 schools are Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Liberty, LSU, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.

Hardy is rated as the No. 116 overall prospect in the country by 247Sports. He is the No. 4 strong-side defensive end in the country, and the No. 5 prospect from the state of Tennessee.

Thus far, one prediction has been logged over at 247's crystal ball. It has Hardy staying in state, and committing to the Volunteers.

He has already made two visits to the Vols and paid a visit to the Auburn Tigers, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Ohio State Buckeyes and Ole Miss Rebels.

Will Hardy further trim down the list before making his commitment, or will he leave all 16 of those teams on his list when he finally makes the big announcement.
