One of the top recruits in the country is on track to announce important news on Thursday. Five-star cornerback Kelee Ringo isn't ready to announce where he'll play college football, but he is making great progress.

The Arizona native is the No. 1 cornerback in the 2020 recruiting class, per 247Sports. All the top programs in the country are in pursuit of Ringo, such as Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State.

Ringo has 34 total offers at this point in his recruitment, yet he is now only considering five teams.

He announced on Twitter that his top five will come out tomorrow. This is huge for every program in pursuit of his commitment.

247Sports lists Texas as the favorite to land Ringo. However, it'll have a ton of competition to battle against.

Georgia, Ohio State and USC are also trending up in the sweepstakes for Ringo. Each program mentioned would give the top cornerback a chance to thrive in a major conference.

The Bulldogs and the Buckeyes have two of the best recruiting classes in the country. Landing Ringo would just be an added bonus at this point.

On the other hand, the Longhorns and Trojans could use someone of Ringo's caliber to bolster their class.

We'll find out which teams remain in the hunt for Ringo on Thursday.
