It is midsummer, which means it is time for conference media days. These are always interesting events, and with so many media at them, you have the possibility for some odd questions and interactions with coaches and players.

That happened this morning at SEC Media Days. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart was asked about a player no longer on his team.

Jacob Eason began the 2017 season as Georgia's starting quarterback before an injury forced him to the bench. Jake Fromm took over and never looked back, and in the offseason, Eason transferred home to Washington.

At least one reporter at SEC Media Days didn't know this, however. He asked Smart what it will be like to coach a quarterback room with Fromm, Eason and prized five-star freshman Justin Fields.

To his credit, Smart handled the question well.

We're going to guess the person who asked Smart about Eason doesn't cover Georgia regularly. Still, that is a pretty big mistake.

Hopefully they bounce back from their error.
