We're less than two weeks away from the 2022 NFL Draft and mock drafts have been pouring in endlessly for months now. But one NFL insider claims to have insight into the first three picks based on his knowledge of the teams.

In a recent column, CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora shared his predictions on the 2022 NFL Draft. He asserted that while conventional wisdom says Michigan pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson will go No. 1 overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars, it might wind up being Georgia pass rusher Travon Walker instead.

"...Aidan Hutchinson, who many would have penciled in with this pick weeks or months ago, might not be the guy for the Jags. And Georgia pass rusher Travon Walker, who blew up the combine with ridiculous athletic feats but who doesn't necessarily have the game film to back it up, just may end up being the first name called. At this point, to the evaluators I spoke with this week who are preparing to make picks, neither scenario would be shocking," La Canfora wrote.

From there, La Canfora projected that the Detroit Lions (picking 2nd) would take Hutchinson instead. The Houston Texans (picking 3rd) would then take Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal to round out the top three.

Travon Walker would certainly be a surprise pick if he were to go No. 1 overall. He didn't exactly light up the stat sheet during his three years at Georgia despite the big role he played in their national title this past season.

Walker has one year as a starter and didn't even earn all-conference honors in 2021.

The one thing Walker has going for him that could put him over the likes of Aidan Hutchinson is his incredible measurables. His 4.51 40-yard dash for a player his size is nothing short of stunning.

Walker certainly wouldn't be the most shocking draft pick of all-time. But is he the right one?
