Another week of college football rolled on earlier this week as No. 20 Appalachian State suffered its first loss of the season.
Several top-ranked teams will hope to avoid a similar fate: falling to an underdog.
Easily the best game of the day takes place in the SEC as No. 6 Florida takes on No. 8 Georgia. The winner will hold the keys to the SEC East and have a likely bid in the SEC title game.
Before the game kicks off, ESPN’s Paul Finebaum gave his final thoughts on the game. He thinks Jake From needs to improve for the Bulldogs to get the win.
Here’s what he had to say via Saturday Down South:
“Very good chance he gets right (against Florida). Jake Fromm is an enormous athlete and many have told me he reminds them of Tim Tebow. But he’s been through a slump, and his last two games have been abysmal. He knows that. Unfortunately for him, he’s going up against one of the best defenses he’ll see fully-healthy.
He needs to get off to a very quick start. He’s not a good come-from-behind player. He needs to shake off that game against Kentucky and the loss to South Carolina, and I think he will.”
The game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET from Jacksonville and will be broadcast on CBS.
