Georgia has done a great job of keeping top players from the Peach State home in this first full recruiting cycle under Kirby Smart, but the Dawgs went down to Florida for their latest recruiting win. Matt Landers, a three-star receiver out of St. Petersburg, tells 247Sports that he has committed to UGA.
“Yes I did,” Landers replied to Dawgs247 when asked on Wednesday morning on committing to UGA. “I picked Georgia because I felt like that’s where I wanted to be, when I took a visit I felt welcome almost like I was home, the coaches are great, the players are great, the academics are great , and the campus is beautiful, I loved it, my mom loved it, the whole family loved it, I feel I can better my talents at Georgia.”
Landers is yet to confirm it on Twitter himself, but Smart and Georgia wide receivers coach James Coley are celebrating the pick-up.

At 6-foot-5, Landers should be a nice big target for Georgia’s young quarterbacks. Here is his full recruiting profile, from 247.
