'Respected Evaluator' Told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport That Todd Gurley Is Best RB Prospect Since Adrian Peterson

Taking running backs early in the NFL Draft has fallen out of vogue in recent years. No backs have gone in the first round of the last two drafts. This year may buck the trend a bit, with many talented rushers like Melvin Gordon and Todd Gurley in the mix. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport says that one respected football talent evaluator believes that Gurley, the Georgia product, may be the best running back prospect since Adrian Peterson.

">@AdrianPeterson. High praise.

As for #UGA RB Todd Gurley: A respected evaluator described him to me as the best RB in the draft since @AdrianPeterson. High praise.

Gurley is definitely an electrifying talent, but his injury history raises some major questions. If he can stay healthy, we wouldn't be surprised if he turns into a star at the next level.
