Earlier this week, the Georgia Bulldogs received a huge boost to their recruiting class in the form of Tate Ratledge. He chose Kirby Smart and his program over other teams from the SEC.
Ratledge is the No. 5 offensive tackle in his class, per 247Sports. Out of all the SEC programs that had interest in recruiting him, the one that stands out the most is Tennessee.
If Ratledge chose Tennessee it probably would have pleased his father, who has been a lifelong fan of the Volunteers.
With Ratledge set to play college football in Athens, his father is ready to embrace the idea of supporting the Bulldogs.
In an awesome show of support for his son, Ratledge’s father took the Tennessee decal off his truck.

Apparently the truck now has the iconic Georgia ‘G’ logo on the back to honor his son’s commitment to Georgia.
This might seem like a minor gesture, but it’s sweet to see Ratledge’s father follow him wherever he plays football.
Between the team’s recent success and great coaching on the offensive line, it made sense for Ratledge to commit to the Bulldogs.
Georgia is right on the doorstep of winning a national championship, so perhaps Ratledge will have the chance to accomplish that goal during his career.
