Video: Brian Schottenheimer Confirms That Greyson Lambert Will Start, Brice Ramsey Will Play Every Game

Georgia's quarterback play was very bad in the 38-10 loss to Alabama last Saturday. Greyson Lambert, coming off back-to-back games with completion percentages of 90 or better, was just 10-for-24 for 86 yards and a pick. Brice Ramsey came in and was also unimpressive, going 1-for-6 for 20 yards and two picks. However, the song remains the same in the Georgia quarterbacks room. Offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer confirmed that Lambert will start, and Ramsey will continue to get time every game.

The Athens Banner-Herald transcribed Schottenheimer's comments.

“We believe in competition. Greyson doesn’t need to go look over his shoulder in terms of who is starting the game,” Schottenheimer said. “He needs to worry about moving the team. He knows Brice is going to come in at some point. Nothing has changed. The rotation is what it is.”

Alabama's defense is better than most, but Georgia still has a number of tough SEC defenses to contend with, including surging rival Florida on Halloween. The Bulldogs will need better play out of Lambert, Ramsey, or whomever is under center, if they want to make it to Atlanta.
