Five-star forward Greg Brown is the top forward in the Class of 2020 and garnering offers from every NCAA blue blood. But it appears he’s going to be giving Kentucky a chance to make a big impression.
According to 247Sports, Brown will be taking an official visit to Kentucky on January 10. He recently released his Top 5, which included Kentucky, UNC, Memphis, Texas, and Auburn.
247Sports ranks Brown as the No. 7 overall prospect in the country. He is the No. 1 power forward in the nation, and the No. 1 prospect from the state of Texas.
But there seems to be a clear leader for Brown, and it isn’t the Wildcats.

According to 247Sports’ Crystal Ball Predictions, the Texas Longhorns are the favorite to land him. Brown has a visit to Texas’ campus scheduled for later this week.
He also has visits for the other teams on his list set up: UNC in late-September, Auburn in November, and Memphis in early-January.
Memphis, not surprisingly, makes Greg Brown’s Top 5. pic.twitter.com/T6USHQ73AW

Last year at Vandegrift High School, Brown averaged 27.4 points per game, 12.3 rebounds per game, and was 53-percent on field goals with 36-percent on three-pointers.
The Wildcats already have commitments from BJ Boston Jr. and Cam’Ron Fletcher. But John Calipari would certainly love to add another power forward soon.
