Five-star guard Anthony Edwards is checking out one of the prominent schools recruiting him for a home game tonight.
Edwards, a top-five composite recruit, is in Lexington for the Kentucky Wildcats' home game against Mississippi State at Rupp Arena.
He arrived at Kentucky yesterday, and has the chance to see a UK team that is playing quite well.
The Wildcats are riding a four-game winning streak, and have won seven of eight games.
Even those losses have been incredibly close. After the Wildcats were blown out by Duke to enter the season, they've fallen to Seton Hall by one at Madison Square Garden, and Alabama by two is Tuscaloosa.
On Saturday, Kentucky scored one of its biggest wins of the year, beating No. 14 Auburn on the road.
Kentucky basketball is one of five finalists for Anthony Edwards.
The Wildcats are joined by favorite Florida State, Georgia, Kansas, and North Carolina.
He also has some connections to the program already. From 247Sports:
The official visit to Kentucky is the second for Edwards, who's already been to Georgia (Dec. 1) and will officially visit Kansas the weekend of Feb. 9. Edwards also has ties to UK. His trainer, Justin Holland, starred for Landmark Christian High School in 2004 alongside former Wildcat Randolph Morris.
80-percent of predictions at 247's crystal ball have him going to Florida State, the program in his top five that has been after him the longest. He previously identified proximity to his home in Atlanta, and his relationship with his future coach as major factors moving forward.
