Coach Calipari Inspires Rapper Drake To Graduate High School

Coach Calipari is motivating more than his UK basketball team. Now that rapper Drake is a high school graduate, he's giving some of the credit to Coach John Calipari.

Known to be a huge UK supporter, Drake announced in September that he wanted to get his high school diploma after a visit to UK's Midnight Madness. Before launching his successful rapping career, Drake appeared on the TV show Degrassi: The Next Generation, which caused him to drop out of actual high school at age 15.

Drake announced his graduation on Twitter, and it seems like he has been a pretty good student, receiving high marks on his finals.

97% on my final exam. 88% in the course. One of the greatest feelings in my entire life. As of tonight I have graduated high school!

According to LostLettermen, Coach Calipari helped Drake celebrate his graduation this past Friday by giving him a personalized game jersey. There's no word on whether college is next on Drake's agenda, but it's probably safe to bet Calipari's UK will be his number one choice.
