The Kentucky Wildcats entered the NCAA tournament with a ton of promise, yet they were unable to take down the Saint Peter's Peacocks in the opening round.

Following the Wildcats' disappointing loss, the phrase "Fire Calipari" started trending on Twitter.

It's highly unlikely Kentucky will make a coaching change at this time, but it's evident that fans are starting to lose patience with John Calipari.

"If I was Kentucky I’d fire Calipari," one fan tweeted.

"As a Kentucky fan all I have to say is. Fire Calipari," another fan wrote. "All the talent in the world but he can’t coach."

"As sports fans, it’s our duty to understand that John Calipari is the most overrated coach in major sports, and it’s clearly undeniable at this point. Helluva recruiter, not a good basketball coach," a third fan said.

Calipari has been very successful for the majority of his stint at Kentucky, but the past two seasons might just leave a stain on his legacy in Lexington.

After winning just nine games during the 2020-21 season, the Wildcats followed that up with a first-round exit in the 2022 NCAA tournament.

Kentucky fans, do you think a coaching change needs to be made?
