Could Vanderbilt be nearing a return?

After injuring his foot in the preseason, Kentucky freshman Jarred Vanderbilt was expected to be sidelined until January. But on Wednesday, the talented frosh posted a photo on Instagram that could suggest his return is coming sooner rather than later.

"Stay tuned," the caption reads.

Check it out:

While it might not signal a return to the lineup, it could suggest Vanderbilt is back practicing with the team or at least close to doing so. A couple days ago head coach John Calipari gave an update on his weekly call-in show, saying [Vanderbilt] has had a couple workouts ... but he's not in practice yet." He also emphasized that he wants Vanderbilt to be able to go "really hard on the floor" before he thinks about letting him practice again.

How close Vanderbilt is to that point, we have no idea, but if his Instagram is any indication, he might not be that far off.
