Florida CB Jamari Brown Commits To Kentucky

Jamari Brown, a talented cornerback from Pompano Beach, FL, committed to Kentucky football this afternoon.

Brown, a star at Blanche Ely High School, is ranked No. 818 overall in the class of 2018 by 247Sports.

The site has him ranked No. 74 among cornerbacks and No. 131 in Florida.

Brown has some serious offers, including Auburn and Louisville, but he is heading to UK.

He announced the commitment earlier today.

His full note:

"First off I would like to thank every University who took a chance on me to be apart of their program to have a full ride Scholarship. I would also like to thank My parents, Coach Rosegreen and Coach Davis rest of my Coaches for making me a better player and a better Person. This Decision and recruiting process was very tough. After talking to Coach stoops, Coach gran, Coach Clink, I will be committing to University of Kentucky #BBN"

Brown also holds offers from Illinois, NC State, Oregon, Pitt, South Carolina, and a number of other schools.

Kentucky has 18 players committed to the class of 2018 so far, a group that ranks No. 16 overall and No. 5 in the SEC. Mark Stoops has recruited well at UK, and 2018 looks like another very strong group thus far.
