John Calipari Tweets That His Team Proved "They Don't Need Me And I Love It"

Less than three minutes into his team's game at South Carolina this afternoon, Kentucky head coach John Calipari went berserk and was ejected. Without him, the Wildcats routed the Gamecocks 89-62 behind associate head coach Kenny Payne.

After the game, Calipari tweeted saying he had never been more proud of a team, adding that they don't need him anymore.

In the aftermath of Calipari's ejection, there were some that theorized he got ejected as a motivational ploy for this team. It's impossible to prove that to be true, but even if Cal getting kicked out was unintentional, it definitely seemed to give his team an incredible boost.
