This weekend should be outstanding for college basketball, as No. 12 Kentucky faces its toughest road yet against No. 14 Auburn.

The Wildcats are riding an impressive three-game winning streak, which includes wins over Georgia, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt. On the other side, the Tigers have just two losses on the entire year and have one of the best rosters in the country.

If Kentucky is going to prove itself as one of the few bona fide contenders in college hoops, then defeating Auburn on the road would definitely boost their resume and stock.

One of the main challenges for the Wildcats will be slowing down the Tigers' backcourt duo of Bryce Brown and Jared Harper. Bruce Pearl's offense doesn't have too many scoring options, but his starting guards do an excellent job of carrying the load for the rest of the team.

Despite mentioning the talented guards on Auburn, the sudden rise of Ashton Hagans has elevated Kentucky's overall defense. The freshman phenom has finished with at least three steals in six-straight games and is really finding his rhythm on offense as well.

Although Kentucky enters this game with tons of momentum, ESPN's matchup predictor favors Auburn for this weekend.

The current projection gives the Tigers a 68.5 percent chance of getting the victory.
