Story: Kentucky defeated No. 16 ranked Ole Miss on the road.
The Wildcats desperately needed a top 25 win to prove that they deserve to be in the NCAA tournament and this road win helps put them on that track. With the Cats still missing Willie Cauley-Stein, who has been out due to a minor knee surgery, someone else had to step up offensively.
In tonight's game, Kyle Wiltjer did just that with a career high 26 points. In addition to Wiltjer, Nerlens Noel, who played down the stretch with four fouls, ended the game with an absurd 12 blocked shots, a new school record.
Kentucky moves to 5-2 in the Southeastern Conference and will take on Texas A&M on Saturday at Reed Arena.
