Kentucky Football Beats Out Alabama, Others For 4-Star JuCo OT Tate Leavitt

It is not every day that Kentucky football beats out SEC rivals like Alabama and Auburn for a player, but Mark Stoops continues to improve the level of recruiting in Lexington. Today, Hutchinson Community College offensive tackle Tate Leavitt announced his commitment to the Wildcats.

Leavitt, who is rated four-stars by Rivalsand three by Scout, signed with Ohio out of high school, but went to Hutchinson after failing to qualify. Since, he has blown up as a junior college recruit, and has offers from schools like Arizona State, Kansas State, Louisville, Mizzou, Oklahoma, and TCU. In March, he received an offer from the Crimson Tide, which he called a "dream come true" at the time. This is a pretty big recruiting win for Stoops and the Wildcats.
