Kentucky Legend Wah Wah Jones, Two-Sport Star Who Played For Adolph Rupp And Bear Bryant, Has Passed Away

Few athletes in college sports history have the resume that Kentucky legend Wallace "Wah Wah" Jones put together in Lexington. The Harlan native played football and basketball for the Wildcats in the 1940s, putting him in the amazing position to play for two of the greatest coaches in the history of college athletics: Paul "Bear" Bryant, who coached Kentucky football in between stops at Maryland and Texas A&M, and Adolph Rupp. He was a member of Rupp's famous "Fabulous Five" 1948 NCAA Championship team, as well as that summer's Summer Olympics gold medalist U.S. team.

Wildcats fans have been sharing stories and pictures of Jones as a tribute to the Wildcat Hall of Famer.
