Kentucky PG Dominique Hawkins Will Miss 4 Weeks After Breaking Hand In Practice Today

Kentucky junior point guard Dominique Hawkins suffered a broken hand in practice today and will miss four weeks, the program confirmed via Twitter.

A defensive standout, Hawkins played in just 23 games last season, making nine starts. He appeared in 33 contests as a freshman in 2013-14, but lost time last year with the addition of Tyler Ulis and others in the backcourt.

He's expected to play an important role for the Wildcats this season, although now he'll have to wait until his hand has healed.
