Kentucky RB On Florida Game: 'It’s Going To Be Fun Walking Out With A Victory, Rubbing It In Their Faces’

It's been nearly 30 years since Kentucky beat Florida in football, but according to one Wildcats' player, that soon will change.

The Gators, who haven't lost to Kentucky since 1986, will host the Wildcats this Saturday. Both teams have yet to lose this season.

Following a Kentucky practice Tuesday evening, UK running back Jojo Kemp, a Florida native, was asked by reporters what it would be like to notch a win against the Gators in his home state. His response was quite brash.

“A couple of my [high school] teammates actually went to Florida, so I’m familiar with a lot of those guys,” Kemp told reporters. “It’s going to be fun walking out with a victory and rubbing it in their faces.”

Kentucky's last win against the Gators came on Nov. 15, 1986, a 10-3 win. The Wildcats haven't defeated Florida in Gainesville since 1979.

Kemp, a sophomore, had 482 yards his freshman season. A three-star recruit in the 2013 class, Kemp has totaled 72 rushing yards and a touchdown on 17 carries this year.
