Kentucky Recruit On John Calipari Rumors: 'I'm Pretty Sure He Gets Offers To Leave Every Day'

John Calipari recently signed a seven-year extension at Kentucky that will almost assuredly keep the coach in Lexington, Ky. for the near future. With the money he'll be making (roughly $7 million a season, likely more than the NBA would pay), it's now probably doubtful that Calipari will dart from the Wildcats' program to lead an NBA team any time soon.

Still, the rumors will always be there. Combining the success he's had and the relationship he has with the league's stars, the Calipari-to-the-NBA train will always have riders.

One Kentucky recruit, 2015 five-star shooting guard Charles Matthews, isn't worried about his future coach leaving.

It's probably an exaggeration to say Calipari gets offers to leave "every day" but the 55-year-old coach probably has gotten his fair share of wooing from NBA and other college teams. He's happy in Lexington, though; winning and making a lot of money. At this point, it'd be a surprise if the national champion coach left Kentucky before he retired.
