The race for Keion Brooks’ commitment decision is set to come to a close this Friday. While nearly all of the top programs in the country have made the five-star forward an offer, it looks like there is a clear favorite.
According to Rivals via A Sea of Blue, the Kentucky Wildcats appear to be separating themselves from the crowd. Kentucky head coach John Calipari visited Brooks this past week, and the team has quickly seen its odds of landing him rise.
Per 247Sports’ Crystal Ball Predictions, Kentucky leads the race with a 57-percent chance of landing him. But the Wildcats are not entirely without competition for Brooks’ signature. Big Ten giants Indiana and Michigan State have been given 21-percent and 14-percent odds respectively.
Brooks is the No. 23 overall prospect in the country, the No. 6 small forward in the country, and the No. 3 prospect from the state of Indiana, per 247Sports.
The Wildcats already have the No. 10 ranked Class of 2019 in the country by 247Sports, thanks to a hard commit from five-star Kahlil Whitney and signed letters of intent from Tyrese Maxey and Dontaie Allen.
The potential addition of Brooks would give Calipari a third five-star commitment, and would potentially see Kentucky’s ranking rise once again.
