Roselle Catholic five-star small forward Khalil Whitney committed to Kentucky basketball back in August. He remains a solid Wildcats pledge.

Whitney is the only member of Kentucky's 2019 recruiting class so far that has not signed with the team.

Five-star guard Tyrese Maxey and four-star forward Dontaie Allen both inked themselves to John Calipari's program this week.

Khalil Whitney's delay shouldn't freak Kentucky basketball fans too much, though.

According to college basketball insider Adam Zagoria, he remains solid to Kentucky, and isn't exploring his options.

“He’ll be signing in the spring due to a logistical issue because he wants to do it at home in Chicago,” the source said. “His dream has always been to do it at his elementary school in Chicago and it didn’t work out for the fall.

“He’s still 100 percent committed to Kentucky. He’s not reopening his recruitment.”

The spring signing period runs from April 17-May 15.

Kentucky basketball's class is currently ranked No. 6 in the country, with the three aforementioned players making up the group this far.

UK missed out on the class' top player, center James Wiseman, yesterday. He committed to his hometown Memphis Tigers.
