One of the benefits of Julius Randle slipping deeper into the draft than he thought he should is that he gets to play for one of the NBA's most historic franchises. As a Los Angeles Laker, the former Kentucky forward will be part of a team that's won 16 championships.
He'll also get to play with one of the all-time greats in Kobe Bryant, who welcomed Randle to the team following the selection.

The Lakers went 27-55 this past season, but Bryant is expected to be healthy. With center Pau Gasol a free agent, there could be room for Randle to make an instant impact.
