Story: The UK Women's hoops team continued its undefeated conference play tonight at Memorial Coliseum as the Wildcats easily beat the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The game was in recognition of the Summit foundation, as both teams wore "We back Pat" T-Shirts during warm-ups. Both of the coaching staffs also wore purple.

Prior to the start of the game, coach Matthew Mitchell presented a ball to DeNesha Stallworth, who surpassed the 1,000-point and 500-rebound career mark earlier this season. Stallworth had 25 points to extend her career high with her father in the audience cheering her on for the first time this year. "I'm a Daddy's girl," DeNesha said.

The Cats had more offensive rebounds (26) than the Bulldogs had in total (20). When asked why, A'dia Matheis sarcastically said it was because they "jumped higher." Once coach Mitchell heard her response, he jokingly said "We gotta get A'dia back to media training."

Mitchell said he is happy any time there's a good night on the boards. Even with the impressive rebounding, Mitchell was most impressed with the hustle he's seeing in his players, especially Jennifer O'Neill. "She's a weapon right now," Mitchell said. According to Mitchell, the players are committed to being the best they can be and being held to a high standard. It's this tactic that Mitchell thinks will determine how far they go in the NCAA Tournament.

The squad has now notched 16 straight wins on the season, its only loss coming to Baylor in November. UK will take on Auburn University at Memorial Coliseum on Sunday with a 2 p.m. tip.
