Four-star forward Lance Ware has gotten a lot of interest from some top notch basketball programs over the past year. With his senior season coming up, Ware has decided to get his official visits out of the way and narrow down the field.
On Sunday, Ware took to Twitter and revealed that he had reduced the list to five. Ware’s list consists of Kentucky, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, and Providence. He has scheduled official visits in the fall for all of them except Kentucky.
According to Jake Weingarten of StockRisers, Ware is still working on setting up the Kentucky visit. While Ware spoke glowingly about all five schools, he seemed to save his highest praise for John Calipari’s program.
“World class program, And coach cal is one of the best coaches in college basketball.”
247Sports ranks Ware as the No. 47 overall prospect in the country. He is the No. 7 power forward in the nation, and the No. 2 recruit from the state of New Jersey.

But while it may still be early in the process, it looks like Kentucky has a bit of a leg up on everyone else. Ware has already received a visit from Coach Cal and took an unofficial visit to the campus several weeks later.
247Sports’ Crystal Ball Predictions currently have the Wildcats as the favorites to get him.
Earlier today the Wildcats secured their second recruit in as many weeks with a commitment from Cam’Ron Fletcher. Will Lance Ware be the third player to commit to Kentucky in the Class of 2020?
