Mychal Mulder, a senior sharpshooter for the Kentucky Wildcats, will not suit up against No. 2 Kansas this Saturday.
Mulder, who plays just under 12 minutes per game for Kentucky, averaging 6.5 points and leading the team in three-point shooting at 40.4-percent, has missed the Wildcats' last two games against South Carolina and Georgia. Head coach John Calipari says that Mulder is out for Kansas, and the unspecified illness could cost him around 10 more days.
From SEC Country:
“My guess is 10 days, but I could be wrong, one way or the other a few days,” Calipari said. “But I would guess 10 days.”
Mulder is just eighth on the team in average minutes per game, but his shooting is an asset, and backcourt depth has been a concern for Kentucky as of late, due to injury.
Kentucky hosts Kansas on Saturday, Georgia on January 31, travels to No. 25 Florida on February 4, and hosts LSU on February 7.
