College basketball seems so far away, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to look at betting odds for NCAA Tournament favorites. As you’d expect, the front-runners to win this year’s championship are mostly powerhouse programs.
The favorite to win the 2020 NCAA Tournament is none other than Michigan State. With Cassius Winston leading the charge next season, the expectation is that Tom Izzo’s battle-tested roster will make another run in March.
Right behind the Spartans are the Kentucky Wildcats, which surprisingly have a trio of impact players returning. Ashton Hagans, EJ Montgomery and Nick Richards opted to return to Lexington instead of entering the NBA Draft.
Following Kentucky on the latest list of betting favorites is Kansas. Many believe that Bill Self has one of his best rosters in nearly a decade in large part because of Devon Dotson and Udoka Azubuike.
The full top six for betting favorites also includes Duke, Memphis and North Carolina.
Memphis is undoubtedly the most surprising team to see among the favorites due to its inexperience. However, head coach Penny Hardaway did a marvelous job putting together the No. 1 recruiting class.
