Once again, we have another change in the recruiting rankings for college basketball. The Kentucky Wildcats were holding the No. 1 spot for nearly a week, but their reign has come to an end.

Last week, the Wildcats received a commitment from four-star recruit Johnny Juzang. His decision to join an already loaded class in Lexington gave John Calipari his highest-graded class since 2015.

There is no denying the abundance of talent coming to Kentucky this fall, but the best class at this moment resides in the American Athletic Conference.

According to 247Sports' power rankings, Memphis now has the No. 1 class due to its recent addition of Precious Achiuwa.

Achiuwa announced his college decision this afternoon. The five-star forward was also considering Kansas and North Carolina.

With Memphis currently on top of the recruiting mountain, Kentucky drops one spot below its previous ranking.

Memphis has seven commits and one graduate transfer for next season, which is quite impressive for head coach Penny Hardaway.

Hardaway's AAU connection with James Wiseman, the top recruit in the country, sparked this tremendous recruiting class.

The pressure is on for the Tigers to have postseason success in 2019. Hardaway and his assistants can clearly recruit with the best coaching staffs in the country, but now it's time to translate talent into wins.
