Watch: Derek Willis Proposes To Girlfriend During Kentucky's Senior Night

Derek Willis made the most of his senior night, even before the game started.

Tonight Kentucky celebrated its Senior Night, honoring the three seniors on the team. Now, Senior Night is special all by itself. It honors the hard work and dedication put in by the young men and women who spend at least four years with a program.

In today's era of one-and-done basketball, making it to Senior Night is a big achievement.

Well, it wasn't enough for one Kentucky senior who wanted to make the night even that much more special. Senior forward Derek Willis walked out for his standing ovation, hugged his parents, and then did something that shocked the crowd.

He proposed to his girlfriend.

Don't worry, she said yes!

A special moment for not only Willis, but his entire family and girlfriend as well. Although most of Kentucky's production on the floor comes from its outstanding freshmen, Willis has an important role on the team as well.

The senior averages 7.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game for the Wildcats.

Kentucky trails Vanderbilt by a score of 9-4 early in the first half.

Congratulations to Derek Willis and all of the Kentucky seniors on a truly unforgettable night.
