4-Star Louisiana Defensive End Chris Allen Has Alabama On Top After Visit

LSU absolutely cleaned up in-state during the 2016 recruiting cycle, leading the Tigers to a top three finish in 247Sports' team rankings. Les Miles has his work cut out for him, however, as Alabama continues to sign No. 1 classes. Now, Nick Saban is looking to poach some of the best players out of his former team's backyard. Four-star defensive end Chris Allen, a Baton Rouge native, was considered an LSU lean until he took in junior day in Tuscaloosa, but now he tells Scout that Alabama is his leader.

"Alabama is my No. 1 school now," said Allen. "I was recently there for a visit and I liked everything. It was my first time visiting Alabama and I really liked the facilities, the coaches, and the environment.

"The environment there is the best any environment could be. It is about working hard, it is about winning, and it is a place I feel they could really develop me as a player. It is just an environment that has the feel of success there."

"I have no pressure to stay in state, so I will go to the school I believe is best for me."
