Rivalry Weekend brought a few of the best games of the college football season, including a shootout in the Iron Bowl that resulted in an Auburn win.

Alabama’s loss is several team’s gain. Utah and Oklahoma both won their regular season finales and will enter their respective conference title games with a chance to make the playoff.

ESPN’s 538 suggests the road becomes very bleak for LSU if the Tigers lose to Georgia in the SEC title game.
LSU currently has a 64-percent chance to make the playoff. However, if the Tigers lose, 538 sets LSU’s chances of making the playoff at just 17-percent. Assuming either Oklahoma or Utah win, LSU would be on the outside of the playoff looking in.
It’s difficult to believe the Tigers could be left out of the playoff after their tremendous season to this point. The College Football Playoff committee loves LSU this season, but would they leave the Tigers out with just one loss – to a top-ranked program at that?
We’ll have to wait and see.
