LSU quarterback Joe Burrow has made himself a lot of future money with his performance this year. He's putting himself in the conversation to be one of the first quarterbacks off the board in April's NFL Draft.
Burrow's team is currently beating Auburn 23-13 late in the fourth quarter, and the potential Heisman Trophy favorite has thrown for 321 yards and one touchdown while rushing for another. His biggest accomplishment of the day was the comparison he drew from the CBS booth.
During the third quarter, CBS color analyst Gary Danielson stated that his colleague Rick Neuheisel had compared Burrow to none other than Tom Brady. Yes, seriously, that Tom Brady of the New England Patriots with six Super Bowl rings.
Many who heard the comment reacted with skepticism.
It is really tough to compare any quarterback with Brady simply because his overall resume is so much better than anyone else who has ever played the position.
Burrow is having a hell of a campaign though, and he will be able to top Brady in one way by this spring.
There's no way Burrow lasts until the 199th overall pick in the NFL Draft the way Brady did 20 years ago.
