The way LSU and Texas have interacted this game week, you’d think these two sides are annual rivals. Tigers running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire just channeled his inner Sooner, Mountaineer, or Aggie after scoring the game’s latest touchdown.
LSU looked pretty dominant in the first half, leading 20-7 at the break. Texas has come alive in the second half behind Sam Ehlinger, so we have a very fun shootout going down on ABC right now.
The two sides have traded touchdowns on four straight drives. On the last, Clyde Edwards-Helaire scampered for a 12-yard touchdown.
After scoring, he busted out the “Horns Down” gesture that has gained in popularity—and become weirdly controversial—over the last few years.
You would assume that all Horns Downs would be roughly the same, but somehow the LSU back really upped the game with this one. There’s something extra on it.

He leads all rushers, with 84 yards and a score on 14 carries. As a team, LSU has 108 yards on the ground, but it has been Joe Burrow that has been the difference maker.
The former Ohio State transfer has transformed from game manager to star in one off-season, and has 392 yards and three touchdowns so far tonight.
Sam Ehlinger is doing his best to answer though. He has 390 total yards and four touchdowns, three passing and one on the ground.
This one has been about as fun as expected. LSU leads Texas 37-28 with under six minutes remaining.
